Trick or treat — how does your lunch box affect the way you talk to others?

Have you ever asked yourself why you are suddenly cranky this afternoon, or why you have a craving for sugar, and once you finally eat that cookie, you become an approachable human-being all over again? As trivial as it sounds — you are what you eat, meaning the food you eat does not only impact the way you look in those jeans, but also our mood and interactions with other people. Intriguing is not it? So now put that chocolate cookie down, seat back, and get ready to revisit your lunch box menu.

Before we dive in, just a small side remark, I am not a professional nutritionist nor a psychologist which can give you a professional advice. I am learning along the way with you and share the key learnings, which are backed up by research.

So how does the food affects our mood and the way we interact with others? It simply must do something with the hunger, right? Well, not exactly, the food affects the various functions of our body which are critical for our communication abilities:
